 Bobbi Michelle Fuller 8-20-77 - 4-04-01 Noblesville, Indiana Police Officer Indiana University Graduate MADD Award 4/21/2001 Our Department has experienced 2 officer suicides in less than 2 years. In this time frame we also lost an officer to a off duty traffic accident. The Department is small with 60 officers and we are located in central Indiana (Noblesville). Prior to 1999 we had never lost anyone since 1948 when a officer was killed in the line of duty on a motorcycle. I was told by one of our Detectives about your site and have posted for the memorial information on an officer that I supervised for 15 months before she took her life. Bobbi Michelle Fuller was 23 yrs old and I did not know there was such a problem in her life. I now plan to use the information here to promote awareness on this problem along with PTSD. I would hope to suggest some ideas of getting this web site information out to those of us who were not aware of the site. The FOP National organization should pass the information on to it's members and perhaps the FBI could do an article and publish it in their Law Enforcement Bulletin and include it in the fbinaa.org web site. Proactive intervention would perhaps save lives and the grief that we and family have suffered. Thanks for the work you have put into this site. respectfully submitted |
