TOAC's chat, "REAL COPS - REAL ISSUES" is hosted by Officer Jim Mackay. Jim is currently assigned to the Southeastern Division of the San Diego Police Department. San Diego is the sixth largest city in the United States. Southeastern Division is the city’s home to both of the nation’s most notorious gang members that are constantly at war, the "Blood’s" and the "Crip’s". Jim has enjoyed working several assignments in his 11-year career, including the Department’s Mountain Bike Team, Neighborhood policing Team, undercover narcotics and a walking detail to curb street robberies. Jim has been recognized by his Department, receiving several Commanding Officer Citations. Jim is a published writer of a short story about a shooting he was involved in, where a psychotic woman was trying to kill his partner. Jim was also selected to work as part of the dignitary protection for several VIP’s during the 1996 Republican National Convention in San Diego. Jim works the streets of San Diego using new age policing concepts and old fashioned police work. Jim brings this mix of new and old style of policing to his "REAL COPS" Radio program. And we're honored to have Jim as TOAC's Correspondent, and the host of our chatoom, "REAL COPS - REAL ISSUES". If you have a suggestion for a guest, or a particular topic you'd like to see featured in our chatroom, be sure to email Jim Mackay and let him know your ideas!
